¹ d 63 can only be fused with pipes of the SDR level 11.

Areas of Application

The FRIALEN-Spigot Saddles SA are used for tapping into unpressurised gas- and water pipes, as well as in pressure drainage. The connecting pipe is joined to the outlet pipe by using a FRIALEN coupler UB.

FRIALEN safety fittings are fusion-capable with PE pipes according to the specifications of the SDR pipe series on the barcode sticker/datasheet of the respective fitting. The minimum wall thicknesses specified in the standards EN1555-1, EN 12201-1 and ISO 4437 must be observed.

Assembly Instructions

The fusion of the HD-PE distribution line and the HD-PE house connection line with FRIALEN-Spigot Saddles SA is carried out by FRIALEN-fusing – tight and longitudinally force-locking.

The saddle and the outlet are prepared according to the general assembly requirements (see assembly instructions: „FRIALEN safety fittings for sustainable pipes for gas, water networks and industrial systems made of PE“) (remove/clean oxide layer from pipe/spigot).

Tapping in a pressureless state up to Ø 46 mm, from Ø 65 bis Ø 123 mm swarf-reduced using the equipment from Hütz + Baumgarten (www.huetz-baumgarten.de).

For pipes in a non-pressurized state, SA fittings can be used as T-pieces with a reduced outlet.

Swarfless tapping up to Ø 46 mm, from Ø 65 to Ø 123 mm extremely swarfreduced by using the tapping equipment of Hütz + Baumgarten.

For pipes without pressure spigot saddles SA can be used as a T-piece with a reduced outlet.

For tapping the main line under operating pressure, please contact our Application Engineering Department.
