The Challenge
To guarantee safe operation of the water treatment facility, the customer required a reliable solution for transporting highly aggressive media such as caustic soda and hydrochloric acid. The requirements were clear: maximum operational safety, precise process control and the protection of people and the environment.
The Solution
Aliaxis provided a tailored system solution that meets the highest safety standards. The AkathermPlus double containment system offers optimal protection for transporting aggressive media thanks to its double-wall design – robust, pressure-resistant and easy to install. The system offer was complemented by pneumatic diaphragm valves from the FIP brand. The DK DIALOK diaphragm valve, with its modular design and flexible connection options, enables precise process control – from simple applications to complex control loops.
The Realisation
From the initial planning phase to final commissioning, Aliaxis supported the customer every step of the way. Using our chemical resistance guide, we assisted in selecting the ideal material – polyethylene proved to be the best choice thanks to its high resistance and cost-effective processing.
During the conversion phase, we ensured a smooth transition by organizing a temporary water treatment system. In close collaboration with the customer, the engineering office, and the installer AIM, the system was installed smoothly. Control valves were assembled and commissioned on-site together with the electrical technician – an additional service that provided extra safety and efficiency.
The Conclusion
Safety, reliability, and environmental responsibility were at the heart of this project. Thanks to close cooperation between all parties involved, we delivered a solution that meets the highest standards – ensuring safe, sustainable and trouble-free operation of the water treatment facility.
