The report was prepared in line with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and the principles of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), providing a transparent foundation for Aliaxis’ future sustainability reporting.
The report demonstrates how sustainability is becoming increasingly embedded in the company’s strategy while supporting customers in addressing challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity and ageing infrastructure.
For Aliaxis Germany and its brands FRIATEC and FIP, the report highlights the important role that modern plastic piping systems play in creating sustainable water, gas and industrial infrastructure. Plastic piping solutions offer long service lives, corrosion resistance and high recyclability, helping to conserve valuable resources. According to the report, HDPE water mains are designed for service lives exceeding 100 years.
Water is identified as one of the key sustainability opportunities for the future. Aliaxis sees growing demand for potable water networks, water transport, stormwater management and water storage solutions as climate change continues to impact communities worldwide. Durable, leak-free piping systems help reduce water losses and improve the long-term efficiency of infrastructure networks.
Aliaxis has also committed to ambitious climate targets, aiming to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 62% by 2034 compared with its 2024 baseline. This will be supported by investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, recycled materials and sustainable product development.
