On April 23, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming five motivated students from the Rhine‑Neckar region to our Mannheim‑Friedrichsfeld site as part of the Future Skills Day (Girls’ & Boys’ Day). The aim of this nationwide initiative is to support young people at an early stage of their career orientation and to provide them with hands‑on insights into the world of work.

The day began at 9:00 a.m. with a company presentation, introducing the history of our Mannheim site as well as our products and services. This was followed by an engaging plant tour led by Thomas Friedrich, who gave the participants a closer look at our production areas and manufacturing processes. The tour also included visits to our high‑bay warehouse and the new F7 production facility.

After the lunch break, the focus shifted to practical experience. During a product training session with Mathias Baier, the students were able to get hands‑on and carry out their first welding trials – including self‑welded pipes to take home as a keepsake.

Throughout the day, there were many opportunities for questions, discussion, and first insights into vocational training and career paths at Aliaxis. With our participation in the Future Skills Day, we aim to actively support young talent, promote equal opportunities, and contribute to early talent development.

A thoroughly successful day – we would like to thank everyone involved for the great collaboration and are already looking forward to the next Future Skills Day!
