In close collaboration with the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen, which co-organized the event, a diverse and practice-oriented program was created that offered both knowledge sharing and space for discussion and networking.

The excitement was already palpable during the “Get together” on the first day: experts from across the industry came together to exchange ideas on current developments in vocational training, updates to the DVGW regulations, and innovative product applications. Following the official welcome by Erko Luck (Aliaxis) and Hans-Dieter Plum (IKV Aachen), the agenda featured engaging presentations – including Sonja Haymann (DVGW e.V.) on the evolution of the certification system and Manfred Hochbein (Gelsenwasser) on boundary experiences with trenchless pipe installation methods.

A particular highlight was the hands-on contributions from Aliaxis’ application engineering and product management teams:

  • Tapping under operating pressure – Mathias Baier and Rainer Müller
  • FRIACORE connection and repair technology – Dennis Kamuf
  • Digitalized construction site with WorkFlow – Frederic Giloy

These presentations demonstrated how simple installation and innovative technology go hand in hand at Aliaxis. Afterwards, participants were invited to take an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Aliaxis facilities – including insights into modern manufacturing processes and safety standards.

The evening concluded in a relaxed atmosphere with a joint networking dinner at the Brauhaus zum Ritter in Schwetzingen – the perfect setting to deepen connections and gather new inspiration.

The second day of the event focused entirely on technical innovations: from the expansion of diameter and wall thickness ranges to new chamber and storage solutions based on the sponge city principle, and developments in connection technology – the presentations provided a comprehensive overview of current trends and challenges in the industry.

The event concluded with an open discussion led by Hans-Dieter Plum, rounding off a thoroughly successful experience exchange that once again proved: this event is far more than a training format – it is a platform for knowledge transfer, dialogue, and shaping the future.

Aliaxis extends its sincere thanks to all participants, speakers, and the IKV Aachen for the excellent collaboration. We are already looking forward to the next exchange!
