On Zero Emissions Day on September 21, 2024, Aliaxis Germany has launched a remarkable initiative to reduce their CO2 footprint: the introduction of their solar power system and the sustainable construction of their new production hall. The new production hall is an example of sustainable construction and operation. It is equipped with an innovative retention roof that stores rainwater on the roof surface and releases it in a delayed and controlled manner. This system not only helps to prevent flooding, but also creates a natural habitat for plants. This makes the environment even greener and contributes to improving the local climate.
The solar power system is another important step by Aliaxis Germany towards a more sustainable way of operating. Till end of the year a total of three buildings will have solar power systems, including the high bay warehouse. By using solar energy, the company's energy consumption is significantly reduced, which leads to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
Zero Emissions Day is an important opportunity to raise awareness of the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. At Aliaxis, we use this day to demonstrate our efforts in developing solutions to reduce emissions and promote sustainability. With our solar power system and the sustainable production hall, we as a company are setting new standards for sustainable practices in the industry.
Aliaxis Italia is also committed to reducing CO2 emissions through photovoltaics. Learn more about it in the Italian and English language video.
